SUNDAY SCHOOL - ALL AGES

We at Riverside Baptist Church realize how important it is to develop a strong Christian Foundation. God's Word gives us instructions as to how to live a fruitful and happy life. So we begin God's Instructions in our Nursery and end in our Senior Adults Department.

Jesus placed a high value on Children. We follow an educational approach for our children, and not just a “keeping/watching” approach. We also have measures in place to help insure the safety and security of every child. We strive to support parents and give them the tools and assistance to model and teach biblical principles for their children.

It is very important to equip our Students, Grade 7-12. This is accomplished through engaging their culture by thinking critically about important questions they will encounter before and after graduation. We also strive to create a healthy social atmosphere of fun and peer support.

With Single Adults making up nearly half of the entire adult U.S. Population, it is essential that the Church recognize singles as vitally important members of its congregations. At Riverside Baptist Church, we are committed to our Single Adults and celebrate God's work in their lives to further His Glorious Kingdom! From College to Work, to the Dating Scene, this group, no matter their age, faces challenges in which God's Instruction in Life is so vital!

Married Adults...together, husband and wife have the capacity to demonstrate to the world the relationship between Christ and the Church. The husband loves the wife as Christ loves the Church and the wife loves her husband as the Church respects Christ (Ephesians 5:21-33). In most cases, it is also God's plan for a husband and wife to have children. Parents are given the primary responsibility to train their children in having a relationship with God (Deuteronomy 6:1-8: Ephesians 6:1-4).

Last, but certainly not least, are our Senior Adults. Understanding that Christian maturity is a lifelong process, we are committed to providing opportunities for our Seniors to be challenging in their faith and service while enjoying the fullness of life in their season of life.

Come be with us during this hour of God's Instruction for our Daily Lives. Our Sunday School begins at 9:00 AM every Sunday Morning.

  • Focus on boys and girls in grades first through sixth

• Mission Opportunities through…
  • Children in Action (CIA) a missions education program for boys and girls in grades one through six. During the weekly meetings, children become special agents finding fun and exciting ways to learn about missions. They discover the work of missionaries in countries around the world and learn how people live in different places. Through a variety of learning experiences and projects, they learn what it's like to serve God in places that are not as familiar to them. Under the direction of lead agents, the meetings are held each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.
  • Mission Friends is provided on Wednesday nights at 6:30 for boys and girls below the age of first grade. While their meetings are not as structured as are those of the older group, these young boys and girls likewise learn at a young age that Jesus not only loves them, but the entire world.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international relief organization. ... Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to over 146 million children in more than 100 countries.

Our Vietnamese Congregation began meeting in July 1997. Rev. Phiet Nguyen now leads this ministry with Bible Study and a worship service in the Vietnamese language each Sunday. For more information, contact riversidebaptist@rbch.org.

Riverside Brotherhood

Mission Statement

Encourage men to identify and develop their personal ministries. Enable and equip men to be personally involved in mission activities. Educate men concerning mission opportunities. Teach men the importance of praying for and giving to missions. Develop in all areas and aspects of their lives to become mature, active, and involved Christians. Pray for and encourage each other as brothers in Christ.

Visitors are welcome to join us for our monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM in the fellowship hall. You do not have to be a member of Riverside Baptist Church to join us.

Senior Adults

The Young At Heart members of Riverside are certainly active in ministry and fellowship. With monthly breakfast meetings on the third Saturday of each month and periodic projects these folks provide a valuable service and ministry to the Riverside Community.

The Women of Riverside

The women of Riverside maintain a busy schedule throughout the year. In addition to the monthly meetings of their missions groups, they are involved in a variety of mission projects throughout the year. Short term Bible Studies are also offered through the year providing additional study in both the Old and New Testaments. You are invited to come and join in one or several of the ministry opportunities provided through our women’s ministry.
